The Acesonic DGX-210 is the world's most advanced karaoke player. Taking full advantage of MP3+G, this player can play or convert CD+Gs to MP3+G without using a computer. Simply place the CD+G you want to convert into the disc tray and record directly to a flash drive or SD card. You can hold up 12,000 songs on a 32GB flash drive and eliminate your dependency on bulky discs. You can also record your performance with the music and graphics and playback immediately. MP3+G is quickly becoming the new standard and it is very easy to use so there's no need to buy an expensive and bulky hard drive player that requires computer skills. You can enjoy all the benefits of mass storage without the headache.

What is MP3+G?.....MP3+G is very similar to the very popular CD+G disc format. MP3's are compressed music files that have CD quality music stored in a small file size. When paired up with graphics, you have music playing with lyrics (graphics) shown on a display. MP3+G is gaining popularity at a very rapid rate in this digital age.

You'll also be able to play all the major formats such as DVD and VCD. 2 microphone inputs, digital key control, and multiplex functions are built-in as well. A very neat function is a scoring game is built-in. when turned on, you'll receive a score after each song which is perfect for friendly competitions during a karaoke party.

Creating a player with so many powerful features and keeping it affordable is no small task but Acesonic has manage to make it happen. Enjoy one of the most innovative karaoke players of the year!

If you want a karaoke player that can hook up easily to a tv with RCA jack inputs this is the one... Under 200 dollars and able to add a memory card to save all your CDG's on... It will convert CDG to MP3 by itself, NO COMPUTER NEEDED!!! cool... no mics are included but the remote is feature rich and you can play DVD's on it as well. Remember that to get the most out of it you should connect this to a component stereo system to feel the bass as you Karaoke the night away.
Good for the money

This player is what it is. I was not seeing players of a similar nature for under $300 when I bought mine. I think for the casual home user this machine is great. If you are looking for something to use as a DJ, you should probably spend more money anyway...

Pros: 1. Plays all kinds of formats! I put a CD with an AVI file into it and was surprised that it played it just like it was a DVD. So basically this device can double as your all around DVD and media player.
2. Yes you can use USB and SD as alternatives to CD+G. Don't expect to house your entire library on a USB stick and use it! However, if you want to download a few songs to try out without purchasing a CD with a bunch of stuff you aren't interested in, this thing is great!
3. Sound quality is adequate and will interface with most any sound amplification system. Mixer is simplistic, but adequate for home users.

Cons: 1. Cannot put large libraries of stuff on a USB stick and expect it to load very fast. This was not an expectation for me anyway. While I can see the advantage and convenience of having a huge library on USB, this is more a feature suited for DJs (and I would expect professional DJs to buy something more substantial). See my 2nd comment under "Pros".
2. Ripping isn't what I would have expected. It basically just plays the track(s) and records the output in MP3+G format on to the USB stick...however, it does this in REAL TIME. This is fine if you are recording someone singing, but a pain if you are just trying to back your CDs up. If you want to convert you your CD+Gs to MP3+Gs, I would recommend you download some software and do that on your computer.

I think this is a good buy for the money, but if you are a professional DJ, I would buy something more sophisticated.
The MP3+g player that thought it could. (2412 CDG MAXIMUM)

So you're shopping for a Karaoke player and want the latest and the greatest out there. This used to be called CDG which held about 12 karaoke songs per disk. The new format is called MP3+G which can be purchased and downloaded at many main stream Karaoke vendors. MP3+g can fill approximately 200+ Karaoke Songs per CD or 1300+ on a DVD+R. Karaoke vendors are scrambling to support this new money making format. Enter Acesonic, when you read the literature of the DGX-210 it compares to many $300-1000 professional players. When you get it home and start playing with it however there are some shortcomings that I feel you should be made aware of before considering the DGX line.

Pros:
1. Plays CD's, DVD's, MP3's, DiVX/XViD, MP4, CDG, MP3+G
2. Can Upscale to 720p (note if you activate 720p you can no longer uyse the device to record your singers.)
3. Allows you to insert USB devices with your favorite Karaoke songs on it. (Useless above 8GB, too slow)
4. Allows you to insert SD Card Memory! (RECOMMENDED! Much faster load times than USB (Remember there is an undocumented 2412 Maximum song limit.)

Cons:
1. USB is SLOW! Even with an External 7200RPM HD your only transferring at 11-12MB's but I doubt you will even get that.
2. Karaoke Library Size. Although the DGX-210 clearly states in there commercial you can hold up to 12,000songs on a single 32GB USB Stick they are being misleading. Yes you can hold that many songs on a USB stick. NO you can not do so on the Acesonic DGX-210!
3. Poor processing power makes it impossible to use this player if you want to load a single LARGE library of 2000 Karaoke songs or more. I tried to put 3500 Karaoke MP3+G songs on a 32GB Flash Drive and it took 30minutes for the player to read them all before it would bring up the menu to select them. When the selection menu finally did load I only saw 2041 of the 3500 MP3+G's that were on it!

Conclusion:
The DGX-210 does a good job for the money but make no mistake, this is not a professional player, it is spec'd for the casual home user. The manual clearly recommends that you use 4GB Thumb drives(Class 4 or above) not 32GB as mentioned in the commercials. If you are looking for something you can load ALL your karaoke titles onto at once, look elsewhere. The DGX-210 while FEATURE RICH, is PERFORMANCE POOR.
Fair Player

This karaoke player works for what I need it to do. The quality of the images on the TV screen are good. I wouldn't want to use this player at a karaoke venue because it's not that heavy duty. It works well for home use, IMO. I gave it 3 stars because the number keys don't work at all. I use the remote (which works, and it's no big thing. At a venue I would want the keys to work. I should have returned it, but it works for what I use it for.
Not worth it use a computer instead

First off I highly recommend using winamp to play karaoke. As for this was a pain to deal with. As for USB it does not load right, takes anywhere between 20-30min to load and that is just one song! When you switch between songs via USB it takes another 20-30minutes to do just that. As for disks works great. When the product had first arrived the remote didn't work or it was the player that was malfunctioning. In which I called the company and they wanted me to go to radio shack to have it fixed regardless of their warranty. I do not recommend this product unless you have time to sit around and wait for your music to load forever, and have the money to shell out to have some other company besides the manufacturer to fix it for you.
